Opening expo Charline Tyberghein

Opening expo Charline Tyberghein

Charline Tyberghein graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp in 2018 and won the KoMASK award for best young European painter. Her first exhibition in Brussels opens on April 6 in Beursschouwburg.

In her paintings, Tyberghein injects everyday symbols and objects with lifelike personality. The young Antwerp artist hijacks the universal readability of these symbols - from Magritte to traffic pictograms - and transforms them into a personal alphabet full of trompes l'oeil.
