Wednesday, February 3, 2016 — Beursschouwburg's current focus programme You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet is one month old. For the following two months we propose a diverse and internation performing arts programme featuring Steven Michel, Antonia Baehr & Valérie Castan, Sidney Leoni, Eisa Jocson, Liz Kinoshita, and premieres of new work by Charlotte Bouckaert & Steve Salembier, InCompany and Edurne Rubio. 25 & 26.03 - Sidney Leoni (FR) - Under Influence - film BELGIAN PREMIERE
Although we are familiar with Sidney Leoni as a performance artist, this time he has decided to create a full-length film. Under Influence is a portrait of the mysterious and psychotic journey of the actress, Julia Gordon. She employs all the powers of her imagination to turn that imagination into reality, breaking away from her everyday life. more information
1 & 2.04 - Charlotte Bouckaert & Steve Salembier (atelier bildraum) (BE) - Musée Moule - performance PREMIERE
In Musée Moule, Atelier Bildraum constructs a live exhibition in which it is not the artworks themselves that play a role, but the moulds, the castings or suggestions thereof. more information

20 & 21.04 - Eisa Jocson (PH) - Host - dance
In HOST, Eisa Jocson plays your hostess, ready to entertain you. She is inspired by the ‘hostess clubs’ of Tokyo, where Japanese-Filipina hostesses engage in ‘affectieve arbeid’. In these special clubs, female or transgender hostesses entertain hard-working Japanese men, toying with female stereotypes. More information
23.04 - Liz Kinoshita (CA) - VOLCANO - dance

29 & 30.04 - Edurne Rubio (ES) - Light Years Away - film/performance PREMIERE
Filmmaker Edurne Rubio found inspiration in an unusual family story. Between 1960 and 1980, her father and two brothers were members of the Edelweiss speleology group. This group discovered the Ojo Guereña cave in northern of Spain, one of the largest caves in the world. more information
